  • (About Sustainability Impact Score)

HOZUBAG upcycles used paragliders into unique, eco-friendly bags. Paragliders are known for their durability, but are still discarded after a few years once they no longer meet safety standards. Instead of letting these materials go to waste, HOZUBAG collects and dismantles them, transforming the fabric into stylish, one-of-a-kind bags. Every HOZUBAG is unique due to the colourful, lightweight paraglider material, which varies from one to another.

HOZUBAG maximizes resource efficiency by using nearly all parts of the paragliders, minimizing waste. The bag straps are made from recycled PET bottle threads, and future plans include recycling leftover fabric scraps through chemical processes, aiming for zero waste.

By repurposing materials that would otherwise be discarded, HOZUBAG promotes a circular economy and creates local employment in Kameoka, Japan, where their production base is located in a renovated traditional house. Through their efforts, HOZUBAG contributes to reducing waste and raising awareness of sustainable fashion.
